After a long, tiring and troublesome night I have last night with my problematic Samsung Tab 2, finally I found the answer this morning, on YouTube.
What was the problem? My tab's battery, without me realizing it, was drained out, totally when I was thinking of visiting my HayDay farm. I won't use my main smartphone as I wanted to save on power consumption as much as possible. It was my main communication device, anyway, should always be reachable. So, as usual, I plugged my Tab on the charger, it started like usual, first hollow battery sign appeared, then the charging sign. However, 2 seconds later, it blacked out and few other seconds, it started the same cycle over and over again, without even a trickle went into my Tab's battery. Left it for almost 3 hours because I thought it was because it totally drained out, still, much to my disappointment, it remains on its charging loop. I almost lost my temper then.
Then, I googled the problem, found a few alternatives.
1. To use wall socket instead of an extension. Done. Fail.
2. Use other smaller capacity USB charger. Done. Still fail
3. Change the USB connector, could be faulty wire. Done. More Failure.
4. Clean the charging terminal on the Tab. Well, I found it was a bit dusty, so I blew it hard, tried to pry whatever left with pin. Done. Fail.
5. Press the volume up and down few times and the power button at the same time. Done. No response, hence, Fail.
6. I tried to give it a shake, a little 'pat' just like the old-timer did to their acting up TV. Lucky I didn't throw the Tab anywhere to give it a shock. Still Fail.
7. Finally....the one that works... Thanks to a suggestion on YouTube, I held the volume button for about 30 seconds (or more), then tap on the power button. The Tab turned on, even though it has 0% battery. Once it turned on, I quickly press the power button to turn it off properly. All these done while still plugged to charger. Then, much to my relief, the tab is charging normally now. *Fingers crossed. While still in charging mode (drained state), just abstain from disturbing it further. Just leave it until it is fully charged.
Well, I hope this helps, to those who experience the same problem as me. Good luck to all of you.
Haha. Lucu ohh yang nombor 6. I have done that before with our old tv. Kategori Old timer lah ni. hahhaa.
ReplyDeleteLucu, tapi berkesan kan...hehehe. And we are old school enough to think it could be done to all types of gadgets or electronics.
