A Newfound Old Hobby

I was, and always am in love with football.  Grew up with all brothers, it's no surprise I share some of their passions.  Back then, I played with my brothers and other kids in the neighbourhood.  It was a 'kampung' version of modern day futsal.  Played serious football for only a year in 1993, then never again had the opportunity to really play in a permanent team.

My good buddy, Beb, sparked my interest once again when she invited me to join her to play futsal with some of her acquaintances, whose skills and experience were far beyond and above us.  Played only twice, but really satisfying games.
Our Mark....Power Girls FC
My Number..I was hoping no. 7but had to settle for 6.
Now, to my pleasure and excitement, I have my own team.  Power Girls FC.  Hehe...sounds funny, but we are powerful, mind you.  With only 7 original members, (where at any one game, always 1 absentee is expected) we are always forced to play continuously, without or with only 1 replacement/reserve while our opponents always have at least 3 reserves.

The game history so far, we played as the official PGFC is:

6-5 win over Rokot FC
1 win, 1 draw and 1 lose during mini futsal tournament at Kg. Unggun, K.Menggatal 27.3.2011
6-14 lost to Rokot FC (our excuse, I wasn't there (had to be in SDK), our striker Miko was injured, so were other 2 members)
1-2 lost to True Jesus (our excuse, we had only 1 reserve against their 4 reserves, and we played international court, for the first time.)

All in all, it is not a bad history at all.  We are getting better, stronger and more powerful each session.  Next mission, a training match with Mengayau FC, an all boys team.  A real test, lucky us, it was their way to train us.  Great opportunity.  Thanks Miss Captain, and Mr. Manager.

Go, go Power Girls!!!!!
