Me, myself and sport

Me, after a short game
Rarely did I share my photos, of me doing my favourite things.  Well, of course you know what my favorite is, since I have been talking about it almost every other entry. Until the last few months, we have been playing in the same badminton hall with our male sparring partners.  We would love to have our skills, dexterity and you know, strength be improved by playing superior opponents.  I love it when we were challenged, and we were able to perform our best.  The aim is not exactly to win, but to perform OUR BEST, that's all.  So, it's natural for me, the one who depends so very much on expectation in order to improve myself, if I sense we did not perform our best, I would get very, very disappointed and became cranky in the court, much to my partner and the opponents' annoyance. Why?  Because I started to waste my service, hit wildly and just, not playing but showing off tantrums.

And Betty, my partner
Truth is, I don't care much about losing, but lose the game with dignity, not just surrender...just like that.  I am a fighter.  So, the badminton season is on again.  Our church will join the Sports Carnival for the whole of Sabah and Labuan this coming Raya holiday, this time at Labuan as they will be the host.  If we (me and my partner) get selected, we'll play again, in whichever team we'll be placed in.  It is time to prove that we are here for good, to play our best and, well, have a good time.  I have been with my current partner for almost 2 years now.  The gap (the skills) between us is closing very, very rapidly, and I hope we'll be compatible enough to play a really good game, understanding each others' moves at lightning speed.

So, we have less than two months to work on our skills and game and everything.  That's a very short time, but I hope we'll managed to get the most out of it.

Wish us the best, of luck.

  3. Perfect! Usually, raya holiday memang kami disini. Because my husband is the only non-muslim in his office. So, priority bercuti is given to the one celebrate rayalah.

  4. Very good then. Now we only have to hope that there will be no change in our schedule...which always is, the case. That will be the perfect time, I don't have to apply for any leave.
