It's nearing the end of 2010 yet here I am, attending another course. Am grateful for the opportunity, though.
Well, I just want to share how I felt during our journey (flight) bound to KL last Sunday. My seat was at the second row. While it was nice to be in the Hot Seat, it was also a disadvantage because that was the favourite seat for passengers with small children. I have nothing against such family, since I, myself have a little daughter, but what I really love to see was, the parents are able to control or at least tried their best to control their children.
I am blessed to have such parents sitting beside me in the flight. They had 3 children (2 toddlers and a baby). I was expecting a 'loud' journey, but no, that did not happen. The parents were so good at handling their children, lovingly attended to their every needs, taking turn to have their meal. I was able to capture the moment that touched my heart in my sketch book. Not a good sketching, but at least you can see (I hope) what I saw that day.
Bravo to the dad for having such love and patience. Nice family. May God bless them.
P.S: The moment instantly interrupted by children wailing from behind, that lasted until the plane landed. There goes my tranquility, and my patience too.
That's a good sketch. Never knew you could sketch..but knowing you for a few years..that is to be expected.
ReplyDeleteI am not a parents yet, but indeed I am against a parents that always take for granted their responsibility of controlling their children's behavior in public places. Well..that's a reminder for myself. Heheheheh.
Chris, you are the first person I thought when I started sketching again. Remember when I sketched our teacher back in Elopura, if I am not mistaken, we showed it to the teacher. What was his name again....Lamidi? Or something like that. The 'garang' one.
ReplyDeleteThe 'garang' one? There were so many 'garang' teacher back then veey. The most 'garang' in my memory was Ms. Caroline. What a scary lady!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway...I am afraid my memory is getting worse Veey. There are lots of thing I cannot remember already..including the teacher u sketch. Am I old already? :(
That was a long, long time ago. Almost 20 years ago. That long, huh? I forgot many things too, but those school years were hard to forget, that was the years where I started to find myself, the real one.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, he was our BM teacher, Lamidi Makin, if I am not mistaken. He was garang, but not as fierce as Caroline was. Hehe.
Ya I remember him. And somehow..I remember a bit about the sketch now.
ReplyDelete20 years huh??? Seems like only yesterday to me.
