I miss the Vibrant Her

A rare, weak look on her face.  Never wish to see this often.
Yesterday, as I brought our active preschooler, Nicole to office, I was very tired and exasperated.  She tested my patience, as she usually does.  She was very active, enjoying her time away from school, had me running around the office like never before.  I wished for a moment she could just  sit down, maybe doodle or just draw on a paper, quietly in my room, but that was not her at all.  My Nicole is an active child, she needs an equally active parents too, which I hope we are.

Well, immediately after I clocked out, just as I seated her in the car, she started weakening.  I thought she was just tired, as she didn't have a wink of nap the whole day.  Then, at home she complained she had a headache.  Yes, to my worry, she had a fever, and threw up right after the complaint.

This morning, the fever came to its peak.  She was burning hot.  Despite the fever, she tried her best to appear ok, and tried with all her might to initiate conversation and be her usual self.  I was so touched by her concern, waking me up, faithfully immersed in our morning routine, starting the day with morning worship and prayer.

After our visit to Dr. Kuan, child specialist in Luyang, I hope she will be better, soon.  I already miss her mischievous stunts, nonstop blabbering, intense curiousity of everything that she saw and heard.

Be well soon, dear Nicole.  I love you very much.
