Just this morning, I was almost 10 minutes late....sending Nicole to school. A very last minute effort in trying to help Nicole with her Chinese homework. Nicole scolded me hard for not helping her last night. I admit...it was my fault. My bad. I am sorry.
Anyway, we were very lucky since her classmates were just about to queue up for morning assembly. Nothing amiss...it seemed to me.
What was interesting to me was how her classmates reacted to Nicole being late. They cheered her....to get into the line faster while I helped to carry her backpack up...just as far as to the door. Then quickly two of her classmates, boys, without saying anything...without even being asked, carried the Nicole's heavy bags inside.
Courtesy and kindness do exist....even in young children of this age. Thank God....Hallelujah for that. I am glad I can still witness such simple act of kindness in our children.
Wow...that is indeed an interesting and lovely sight to witness. Nicole is blessed to be surrounded by a good and thoughtful friends. I was not so lucky during my childhood time. selalu kena buli...huhuhu
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. That's another way of seeing it. She is blessed, that much. Kesian juga ko kan Chris. Probably because you looked timid and innocent.
ReplyDeleteNot really sure why veey. Timid and innocent is one thing...mangkali nampak macam buduh2 bah sa ni dulu. hehhehe. Exam pun selalu nombor yg dibelakang belakang. Membaca pun I think darjah 2 baru pandai (I didn't go to tadika like the rest of the kids).
ReplyDeleteAnd still you went into Science Class. That was quite a turnaround.
