Today, as weekend always is, started quite late. Now, the highlight for today is what i call the power of persuasion. Read, and tell me if we can call this persuaded into doing something. I went shopping, with a list readily prepared in mind. But at the end of the day, when i was about to bring my baby out of the shopping complex, a guy from a booth that sells books stopped us. Well, i know the company and even bought books from them back in 2004. Fully benefited from the purchase?...Well, let's just say i only used half of them. This time he hit me at my weak point. It's children educational books series, and...wow...the way he played with words, making me think this is the best and most important purchase in my life for my child, he finally got me handing him deposit and signing the purchase contract. The purchase consists of 58 items (58 books, 1 sing along vcd and 4 read along cd). Price? RM2400 (minus 400 if i paid cash, which i couldn't afford). RM2400 only for books?! I, personally believe the purchase really worth it. I don't know about other people (and i'd like to know what other people think about this), but for the sake of my child, i don't mind spending any amount of money, as long as she can get the best education,..and everything.
